Or cruroplasty. This is an intervention that aims to reduce the excess of skin on the inner side of the thigh.
According to the quantity of skin to be removed, two types of scar are realized:
– Either a crescent scar located in the fold between the thigh and the pubis
– Where the excess of skin is greater, a T-scar with a vertical branch on the inner side of the thigh.
This procedure takes place in the operating room under general anesthesia.
It requires hospitalization that varies from one to three nights on average.
After surgery, wearing a compression garment is recommended for one month days and nights.
Scar treatments should be repeated several times a day in this area which tends to macerate.
