Bichectomy or removal of the Bichat balls

The strengths of this type of intervention

  • The bichectomy is performed through the inside of the mouth and does not cause a scar on the face.

  • The final result can be appreciated after 15 days to 3 months depending on the type of face.

  • Bichectomy allows for a significant improvement in facial features. By reducing the volume of fatty tissue, the cheeks take on a more refined shape.

If you suffer from a discomfort or a complex caused by a face that is too rounded and you wish to reduce the volume of your cheeks, this operation can be of great help to you. The bichectomy will allow you to have a face whose proportions will be more balanced.

Description of the surgical operation

It is a procedure performed in the operating room either under local or general anesthesia.

The incision is made in the mouth, the Bichat balls are then reduced and the mucosa is sutured with absorbable thread.

Bichectomy in practice

As with any cosmetic surgery procedure, a 15-day reflection period is required.

This procedure is performed on an outpatient basis, which means that you can leave the same evening as your operation.
