Liposuction: how does the procedure work?
Liposuction or liposuction is performed by a qualified plastic surgeon. Liposuction is performed under general or local anesthesia, depending on the amount of fat to be removed. During the operation, the surgeon makes small incisions on the areas to be treated to insert cannulas. Using these cannulas, the surgeon will suck out the fat from the targeted areas. Once done, the specialist sutures the skin and applies a bandage. This operation can take from 30 minutes to two hours, depending on the amount of fat to be removed.
After the operation, the medical team will take you to the recovery room and then to your room. You will then receive an infusion containing analgesics (painkillers). As soon as you wake up, you'll have to put on a panty, which you'll have to wear for 4 weeks. The panty is necessary to reduce edema caused by the operation and to protect the operated areas. Bruising may persist for up to three weeks.
A week's convalescence is recommended to recover from the operation and any aches and pains. The post-operative consultation takes place between one week and ten days after the operation, to carry out a check-up and remove any sutures (we now mainly use absorbable sutures). Draining massages are also recommended for the first month after the operation.

Prix liposuccion : les avantages d’une lipoaspiration
La lipoaspiration a plusieurs avantages. Le premier atout de cette intervention chirurgicale est de favoriser la disparition définitive des cellules graisseuses aspirées au niveau de la zone traitée. Par ailleurs, après l’opération, il n’y a pas de grandes cicatrices (les cicatrices, le plus souvent cachées dans les plis, font en moyenne 0,5 cm).
